Configuration for Zoom
You only need to complete the steps in this section if your want to use Zoom with the GroupWise Video Conferencing Add-on. If you are not going to use Zoom, then you can skip this section.
Important
You will need a login with administrator privileges to your organisation's Zoom account before you can proceed with setting up Zoom for use with the GroupWise Video Conferencing Add-on. If you do not have access with administrator privileges, you need to contact your Zoom Administrator to perform these steps on your behalf else you will not be able to use Zoom with the Add-on.
Steps to Configure
- Login to your Zoom Portal with an account that has Administration Privileges.
- Navigate to ADMIN | Advanced | App Marketplace. You will be redirected to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Once on the Zoom App Marketplace page select Develop | Build App from the Develop menu located towards the right top section of the page.
- Choose JWT as the app type and click on Create. You can ignore the warning that JWT will be deprecated by 1st June 2023. The next release of the Add-on will use OAuth. After June it just will no longer be possible to create new JWT tokens as existing tokens will continue to function.
- Complete the following activities:
JWT Action | Explanation |
---|---|
App Information | You can specify any information in these fields. |
Generate App Credentials | Credentials are required to authenticate and authorise each API request. The Add-on will automatically update the expiration date so you will not need to manually extend the expiration date. Copy the API Key and API Secret to a safe location as you will need it later when you will configure the GroupWise Video Conferencing Add-on profile on your client portal. |
Add App Feature | You can skip these steps as you will not require any additional features. |
Activation | After completing the above steps you can activate your App. |
Next Actions
Once you have configured Zoom, make sure that you keep your API Key and Secret in a safe place as you will need it when you get to the set up of the configuration in the Client Portal.
You can now proceed to configure other Video Conferencing platforms that are in use. If Zoom is your only platform, you can proceed directly to the Configure Management Portal.
