Before you start
This section describes what needs to be in place before you can even start with the deployment of the GroupWise Video Conferencing Add-on to your users. If you do not read through this section you will not be able to get the Add-on working within your environment.
Understand the set up process
The following is a summary of the set up process that you need to follow. Please ensure that you complete the activities of each of the sections to ensure a successful deployment of the GroupWise Video Conferencing Add-on for your environment.
Get support when stuck
If you experience any difficulties at any point during the set up, configuration and deployment process, we request that you submit a support ticket to NETCB. This can be done by sending an e-mail message to support@netcb.com, or visit our Online Support Portal from where you will be able to register and open a support ticket. Make sure to include detailed information about the problem experienced, and attach any screenshots is possible about the problem you are experiencing. Please DO NOT share any password information when you open a support ticket.

Configure your Video Conferencing platform | Each Video Conferencing platform has its own unique set up requirements. You do not need to set up each of the Video Confercning platforms as you will only enable the Video Conferncing platforms that are in use by your organisation. If you do not have an active Video Conferencing platform subscription but want to try out the Add-on for GroupWise, we recommend that you use the free Jitsi platform. |
Register on our Client Portal | As from version 1.5 you will need to register on NETCB's Client Portal. This is required to be able to obtain your License Key, Download the software, and create configuration profiles for your Video Conferencing platforms. |
Prepare deployment package | Once you have completed the steps required on our client portal, you will be able to prepare your deployment package for distribution within your organisation. |
Deploy the Add-on | You will be able to deploy the Add-on as a standalone installation for each workstation that contains a GroupWise client where you will need the Add-on, or you will be able to deploy the Add-on using tools such as ZENworks Configuration Management or Liquit Workspace for larger scale deployments to many workstations. |
Existing deployments of the Video Conferencing Add-on
If you have previously installed the Video Conferencing Add-on, either as an evaluation, or with an active subscription to the Add-On, you need to note the following:
- If you have only tried the evaluation version in the past, and would like to test out the new version, merely send an e-mail to our support team to obtain a 30 day license key extension.
- Your existing license key, for existing subscribers as well as evaluation users will be available within the Client Portal.
- You will have to proceed with the Client Portal registration process to get access to downloads of new versions of the Add-on, including the set up of your configuration profiles.
- If you have participated in any beta testing in the past, you will already have a login to the client portal. If you have forgotten your password, you will be able to reset your password.

Remember, you only need to perform the configurations for the platforms that are relevant to your organisation. If you do not have an existing Video Conferencing platform, you can jump to the Jitsi Configuration section, and only perform the activities that are relevant to the Jitsi platform.
